Photography... my place in the world!

Today's blog is on a heartfelt personal level! Why do I choose to be a photographer? Well  unlike others who do it for fun, or because it is cool or trending right now..I do it to preserve family. To preserve moments in time.. to memories captured!!! 

I want to help capture every moment from your child's favorite toy to your daughters first dance outfit to the kiss at your wedding and the newborn that you cherish.. from high school grad images and more!!!

So many moments in life are special, and we only have so long to preserve them. I have devoted my life to studies in photography, editing, and other related things!!! I have a personal mission to make sure everyone can have these special memories preserved and done so with professional care. 

Today's moments are tomorrows memories... and all you have after the days and years move forward are the images in your head.. and those preserved on your walls , and in albums ...

This little cutie won my spring contest at MTM Photography and Custom Edits ! Here is an image from the session today! I really enjoy meeting new people and photographing awesome babies! I am in love with this very very very  cute dress momma brought!  I am so glad I did this spring contest .. and the more people that participate and the busier I get .. the more I am able to do!!! What every bride should consider before hiring her wedding photographer !!!

OK.. so many things to do, so little time right????? Here are a few things to consider...

 Do not, I mean do not let price be your deciding factor in choosing the person to capture your big day... I have seen people bid on jobs like it's a table at an auction... saying go to this person she is cheap! Cheap... that's like the dollar store of photographers.. the photographer that will fall short every time..  reasonable is OK.. but cheap is not... If someone offers a full wedding for a few hundred dollars you will be sad later at what you receive..

Ask the photographer if they use Photoshop. Can they fix drool and spills on the dress and zits from stress?  I include most editing.. but not all photographers do... some don't even know how to fix these issues!!!

Do they provide help or useful info for the bride..  I think It is a must... but not all photographers are this helpful and knowledgeable..  so make sure to speak with them about what they are willing to share with you.

ARE THEY 18!!! YES 18.. SO MANY KIDS ARE POSING AS PHOTOGRAPHERS THAT CAN'T EVEN LEGALLY ENTER INTO A CONTRACT AND THEY CAN LEAVE YOU STRANDED!!!! WORSE YET, YOU HAVE NO STANDING!!! NONE!!!!

Are they showing the same few images over and over? Chances are they might have what we call lucky shots! Ask to see a ton of images! Maybe a online gallery so that you get a feel for the whole day.. not just the few keepers they got! CONSISTENT photographers are what you want!!!  

I have wedding collections set up and pricing just for coverage.. I also can create collections or pricing for special cases that are not maybe say a traditional full wedding. I can create a collection for 2nd weddings or small weddings.. backyard mini weddings, or even courthouse weddings! Whether you choose 

MTM Photography  and Custom Edits or someone else... please choose wisely. 

I also offer editing services for people who chose cheaper wedding photographers and are unhappy with what they received. You must get a release from the original photographer and prices will be based on how much needs to be fixed!!

I also do bridal or trash the dress sessions after weddings! Those are awesome and help you get what you may not have gotten on your special day!!!

Salon Shoot

I had an awesome shoot at the Salon today! Street light Style is moving to a next door local and shaking things up a bit too.. New stylists , new looks, and lots of  fun!!! It was a pleasure to  work with the girls today.
